The weather has been so nice lately and since classes are over until exams, I've been taking advantage of it. Joannie, Julie and I took around St. Kilda on Friday afternoon. To describe St. Kilda I'll quote from my travel book, "The former seaside resort of St Kilda has an air of shabby gentility, which enhances its current shcizophrenic reputation as a sophisticated yet seedy suburb..." It was so calm and peaceful that I couldn't help bus smile the entire time there. The beach itself is not very attractive, but the pier and the view of the city is breathtaking. We also went to Acland Street where there were so many cake shops with the most amazing creations I've ever seen. It's starting to hit us just how unique Melbourne is and how much we are going to miss it.
